Homeware Wishlist!

Sunday 19 June 2016

Before we get into it, just know that writing this post is paining me because it's reminding me how absolutely broke I am and how I can't afford to finish my room (sob sob). But last year I moved house and my room has never really been how I wanted it. It was kind of stuck in between with some old furniture from my old house and new furniture bought for the new one... let's just say it was looking very 'meh'. So with me finishing uni and moving home for good, I decided that it was time to sort my shit out and get my room looking presentable! Unfortunately, I have since run out of monetary funds (typical) but on the upside, it's has given me more time to look for bedroom inspo on Pinterest and browse homeware websites to help me decide exactly how I want my room to look in the end.
My room is quite small and all my furniture is white so I want it to look as bright and spacious as humanly possible for a room not much bigger than a wardrobe (it's not quite that small, but you know what I mean). I'm thinking mostly clean and white with some aspects of green and metallic.
Anyways, here is the list of things that I'm planning on buying... EVENTUALLY.

Plants, plants and more plantsIf you're not aware that inside plants are the new 'in thing' then, umm where have you been? I'm jumping on the band wagon and lusting after some beautiful greenery from Ikea. I'm talking cacti, succulents, bonsai trees, you name it if it's green I want it.

Picture/feature wall
These just look really, really cool. That's all there is to it to be honest! Picture walls are a perfect way to display memories, motivational quotes and pretty pictures that are guaranteed to cheer you up when you're feeling down. It's also the perfect way to give your room a little bit of your personality!

Gold Mirror
It took me a long time to decide what mirror I wanted. I've never felt more adult in my life than when I was looking at a selection of mirrors trying to decide which one I wanted more! But since I decided I wanted metallic aspects in my room, I thought a gold mirror would look perfect above my dressing table.

Let me know in the comments what you're lusting after!
