Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer
I was very skeptical when purchasing this product as a lot of primers I had already tried always bragged about their staying power, with many of them promising 10 hours plus! However, this product has blown me away... It's quite thick on application, which did worry me at first, but I suppose for a 15 hour primer it has to be! I suppose the real question is 'Does it last 15 hours?' - No... not on me anyways, but it's the best one of it's kind and I would re-purchase this without second thought.

St Tropez Self Tan Dry Luxury Oil
If you're interested and want to know more about this product I did a whole post about it & all it's pro's and con's, if you want to read more just click here! :D

Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette
Now I'm a sucker for a great bargain and this is exactly that. For £8 you get 8 powders perfect for contouring and sculpting, 2 of these being baked highlighters that have high pigmentation and add a beautiful glow to any skin tone! The 3 different bronze colours offer a variety of tones that makes this product beautiful to build and blend. This product is fantastic quality for the price & although I still like to keep my Hoola on hand, I would recommend it to anyone that loves a clean contoured look.

Maybelline Lash Sensational
Oh my.
This product is incredible, it has outshone my once faithful Benefit's They're Real! mascara and is now my every day, every night, every for the rest of my life mascara. I know I'm a bit behind on the hype of this product as I've seen many raving blog reviews, but every time I went to buy it they were all sold out... which can only be a good thing! This mascara is amazing at making lashes look longer and fuller, what more can a girl ask for? If you haven't tried this already you need to, it'll change your life (& lashes) forever.

Seventeen High Drama Intense Liquid Eyeliner
This product is all a girl could ask for when it comes to liquid eyeliner. Never before have I been able to do my eyeliner so quickly let alone evenly! The applicator is quite thick which allows for  precise precision (always good!) and the liquid dries a matte black which I absolutely love!

Accessorize Nail Polish
The packaging of these nail polishes are so so stunning! Priced at £5 but looking double that these nail polishes come in 36 different shades ranging from pastels to glitters. Accessorize have really stepped up their game and I cannot wait to try more! It's hard to comment on their chip resistance as I have acrylic nails and so my nail polish never chips, but I would deffo recommend these to anyone! If you're a nude girl like me I would recommend 'Almond', it's a nude brown with purple undertones... its beautiful!

Soap & glory supercat liquid liner
This eyeliner is possibly my favourite liquid liner that I have ever used in my entire life! I find it so easy to use and the colour is properly black (not some form of grey like so many are). The only thing I would say is that it makes a bit of a mess if you get it on your fingers or smudge it anywhere but other than that it is absolutely wonderful.

Maybelline lash sensational mascara
I have to second Abby on this (yes it's so good it needs to be mentioned twice!).
Beauty bloggers have been going on about this mascara for so long that you’re probably fed up of hearing about it. Unfortunately, I was a little bit late and only just started using it in the past few months BUT IT’S SO GOOD. I’ve read before that it’s a really good dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash mascara and it’s only a fraction of the price!

Plamer’s cocoa butter formula natural bronze gradual tanning moisturiser
This has pretty much been a staple throughout the whole summer. I have been using it every time I shave my legs as a moisturiser because it feels so nice but also on the rest of my body to give it a nice glow. I think this is a good alternative to using an actual fake tan because it is really natural and not too apparent (depending on how often you use it), it just gradually darkens the skin to give a nice natural-looking radiance.

Neutrogena visibly clear pore & shine daily scrub
Recently, perhaps because it’s been summer and I haven’t been wearing as much foundation, I have realised that the main problem area of my skin is really visible pores. Since noticing this I have been doing everything in my power to make my pores seem as minimal as possible. This is one of the products that I have been using every day, twice a day. I find that the little microbeads in the scrub are refreshing on the skin and you can really feel that the skin is being cleaned. It just leaves the skin feeling really smooth and it really does help to tighten pores.

Thank you for reading, we hope you enjoyed it :) We'd love to hear what you guys loved using this summer, feel free to leave us a comment.

Warm Clothes

We'll be honest, the conditions in these student houses are like the Artic. You won't want to put the heating on because you can't afford it, but you'll have an inner battle with yourself.. what if you get frost bite? You can't afford to be in the hospital, what a waste of rent money! So in the end you'll turn it on, but you won't quite have the will power to put it on constant which is what you need with those drafty windows, but you might as well just throw you're money out the window, so instead you put it on a timer which won't make a difference because the house will be so cold that by the time the heating goes off the house is only just warm enough. God, it's been a long two years as you might guess. But now we're in our final year we can firmly say we're pro's when it comes to heating so... just bring layers, it's easier.

Fairy Lights & Candles
So maybe this is more of an essential for girls, but these are the kind of things that make your room feel cosy. There's nothing we love more than whacking on a movie with a few candles & fairy lights with a big mug of tea! It's the little things in life.

Air Fresheners
These are a must. We have about 45248 million air freshers in our house, from plug ins to motion sensors we have them all! You may find that when you move in to your new digs there is a lingering smell of boy, smoke, damp, musk....you're landlord told you he'd give it a deep clean? He lied. Air freshers are an absolute essential when it comes to your house/room, having a nice smelling environment just makes life much happier & comfortable when you're away from home. Wilkinson's, Body Care and B&M are great places to pick up cheap deals for brands such as Glade, Febreze & Air Wick which are our personal favourites.

Alcohol
Obviously.

Mould Remover
We have a very close relationship with Mr Mould, we've had out ups and downs & have been through the toughest of times. We highly recommend taking some mould remover with you as there is a high chance you will, at some point, experience a spot of mould. This is mostly because student houses are quite damp, especially as you'll need to hang clothes near the radiators in winter to dry them, which doesn't help matters... but what's a student to do?

Netflix
Contrary to what people think, being at uni is actually pretty boring during the day. I mean you can't just do work and party all the time can you? You need something to do on those hungover days or the days when you just can't physically bring yourself to do... anything. Netflix is pretty much a necessity if you want to stay sane. Watching countless episodes of The Office is how we got through our first couple of years!
But beware, it's pretty damn addictive!

Patience
If you're a girl living with a boy or a few other guys then this is something you will most certainly need. Be prepared for the mess, the washing up, the smell, the excessively loud (bad) music... you get the picture! Also, don't think it's easy. Maybe you're very independent and love being away from home & being your own person, and that's great! But for others uni is hard. You will have your down days where you miss being at home, miss your mum, miss you boyfriend/girlfriend... just miss the feeling of being around your family and friends. Be patient, those days come and go and a lot of the time you will have good days surrounded by great friends.

Slippers
You don't want to know what's been spilt on those floors and you certainly don't want to know what happened on those floors so let's keep this short. Take slippers, multiple pairs.

Thanks for reading, we hope you have an amazing day wherever you are!

70's Vibes

We love love love the vibe this outfit is giving off, with flared trousers and floral prints this look just screams 70's. The burnt oranges and mustard yellows add an autumnal feel to a look that could otherwise be worn anytime throughout the year, keeping with this theme adding gold and brown accessories is a sure way to keep a warm tone to the look.  And of course, how could a platform not be teamed with such a bohemian look.

Smart Pastels

The thought of wearing pastels in autumn seems a bit bizarre... but we love it! Why restrict a whole colour spectrum just to what the temperature is?! We're loving the mix of light and dark colours this AW and so pairing a dark blouse with a pastel suit is really floating our boats. To make more of a statement we suggest pairing your pastel pieces with a mismatched colour shoe...mint green, lilac or peach would look stun bun with this combo!

Feathers

This look is definelty a statement look. Incorporating feathers into any outfit is a sure way to add a pop of fun and texture to a simple look. We wouldn't recommend going OTT with the feathers, you don't want to end up looking like a walking Christmas bird, but 1 feathery piece will certainly turn heads! We're loving a feathered gilet or bag paired with casual jeans or for a smarter look a pleather skirt and nude heels. Perhaps you're not feeling brave enough or your purse won't stretch that far? Why not try some feathered jewellery, there are some great pieces on the high street at the moment, some are big and bold others are simple.. there's an item for everyone so why not give it a go?

The Blanket/Cape

We love how blankets/capes can be used as a lone item or introduced with layering... especially over the top of a structured jacket. Although the days are getting shorter and colder we teamed this look with a hat to add a little more sophistication and class. For those of you who may feel a little drowned under layers and layers of material we suggest using a belt to accentuate your shape! I think what we love the most about the blanket/cape is it's versatility.. they can go from day to night or can even be chucked on if you're lazing around the house and feeling chilly! We're marking these items as an AW15 must have :)

Tassels

Tassels are a great way to add a bit of texture to your look. Like feathers, this trend can also be overdone, so why not stick to one or two key pieces per look. To keep your look AW we suggest darker colours such as browns and purples, but don't feel scared to mix and match... a plum bag and tanned boots are a great combo and really complement each other.

We'd love to hear what fashion trends you're loving (or hating) this AW! Feel free to leave a comment below, we loving hearing from you guys :) xx

That's it, Autumn is only a week away (although with the weather we've been having in the UK it feels like it's been here for ages) so it's time to crack out the candles and start spending more time binge-watching your favourite TV show - as if we needed an excuse!
One of the best things about Autumn is lying in your dimly lit bedroom, or a nice warm bath, listening to a nice chilled out playlist... So, being the thoughtful people that we are, we thought that we would devise the perfect playlist for doing just that!

3 important things I've learnt since turning 20

3 important things I've learnt since turning 20

Okay so I’ve only been 20 years old for 3 weeks and 2 days but I feel like something in me has changed. I don’t know if I’m making an unconscious effort or if it’s because I feel more like an adult now that I’m no longer a teenager but I’ve learned some important things in this short time.

1-      Stop worrying over insignificant things.
I am the absolute worst for getting all worked up over the tiniest things like losing something or someone not replying to my text messages straight away but I’ve realised that these things don’t matter. Young adults have so much pressure and stress put on them about what they want to do for the rest of their lives, it’s literally a waste of time and energy to worry about insignificant things that will play no role in the rest of your life. Just let it go.

2-      Stop trying to explain yourself.
One of the most annoying things is when people are constantly asking you “why are you doing that?” or “why are you like that?” The fact is, I’m an adult and I don’t have to explain myself. If I want to do something or be a certain way then I will because I want to. I don’t need any other reason than BECAUSE I WANT TO.

3-      You don’t always have to know what’s going to happen next.
Like I said before, as young adults we’re under an immense amount of pressure to prepare for the rest of our lives. I started university 2 years ago and I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to get out of it (other than a decent degree, obviously). Myself and Abby have spent so many hours worrying and stressing about what’s going to happen when we finish university, but the fact is no-one knows what’s going to happen. You can spend years working towards your dream job, get the job and realise that you hate it. I don’t even know what I’m going to have for dinner tomorrow, let alone what I’m going to be doing 5 or 10 years from now. You just have to take things as they come.
