2015 Hair Trends: Hit or miss?

2015 Hair Trends: Hit or miss?

1) Longtails

We're all familiar with the ponytail.. you know the only hairstyle your mum seemed to know when you were in year 5? Well we've seen it all, from high and sleek to loose and low.. and let us not forget Rag & Bone's attempt that saw ponytails practically falling out! However, a new trend began to appear on the runways this year with 'Longtails' (basically put, low tied ponytails). Now, we don't know about you, but we love a sleek slicked back pony tail any day of the week, not that we would ever wear one ourselves (especially because one of us has an ear that likes to stick out a bit more than it should, no names mentioned!). It's not everyday that you see one of these bad boys being rocked on someone head.. then again Northampton isn't the fashion capital of the world... maybe Paris, New York and Milan see them everyday! We give this look a huge thumbs up to anyone that's brave enough to pull that hair back and let their face do all the work, it really is a statement hair style that could be worn day or night... We hope to see more of these longtails around soon, soooooooo fabulous!!

2) Braids & Twists

We love love love a fish braid, can't for the life of us do one, let alone wear one, but we love them! This year braids are being bought back, even the old school plain and boring plait that you still do sometimes when you're bored and your scarf has a fringe (yes, we all do it!). Random small plaits in loose hair has begun to make an appearance and we love it, it give a boho kind of feel and could quickly fix a bad hair day! Now, we know that braids aren't for everyone, even after many Youtube tutorials they are really hard to get the hand of which is why we love the simple plait that it being bought back. We're not sure we'll be wearing one anytime soon, it kind of makes us feel like we're in lower school again... But, we're loving  it in short hair with loads of loose bits hanging around the front, it allows for a more casual and messy look. And hey, if you are crazy talented and can braid anything in sight, then go for an over the top updo, make your hair a piece of art!

3) Out of the Water

This year the runways showed a varied degree of wetness, there was lightly gelled loose hair to literally fresh out of the water buns! We're not too sure how we feel about this trend, yes it's suitable for a runway look, but everyday wise? We don't think so. Personally, if we saw someone walking out of Tesco with hair like Rosie's I would be shocked! We think it's verging on greasy and we just can't seem to gel with it (get it!). Don't get us wrong, there are people out there that could 100% wear the shit out of this hair, and good for them! We quite like the idea of a gelled back high bun for a night out, it gives a somewhat elegant look. It's just, we don't think that this look could be worn casually without people questioning its.... cleanliness.

4) Mixed materials

This trend reminded us of Lizzie McGuire...remember when she used to wear clips in her hair with random pieces sticking all over the place? No? Well here's a picture to remind you! >>>>>>
Now, I'm not sure about Lizzie's hair, but we're quite enjoying some of the looks that appeared on the runway this year. The idea of adding something extra to your hair really is exciting, it makes an otherwise plain look into something completely different. We're not saying shove a whole tree on top of your head, but flowers, leather ties, sparkling hair slides (not the ones you thinking of) and much much more are making their presence known! We can't wait to see people's interpretations of this trend make an appearance on the high street, at uni and even at the supermarket! Who knows, maybe we'll pull out our old crocodile hair clips

We hope you enjoyed reading this post & we'd love to hear your opinions on some of these looks!

New York Fashion Week: Celebrity Style on the High Street!

New York Fashion Week: Celebrity Style on the High Street!

Read post

Seeing as it's NYFW right now, we thought we'd show you some of our favourite looks from celebrities that have attended the fashion extravaganza so far this week and how to get them!

The first one is this lovely Lemon look from the stunning Kate Hudson. Kate looks absolutely blooming (haha get it) gorrgeous in this yellow outfit. This look is perfect for spring, it just seems to cheer you up when you look at it and it really compliments her skin and makes her look positively radiant.
The main thing about this outfit is the colour (obviously). This pleated midi-skirt from Topshop (1) really captures the bright-yellow spring time look that Kate is so fabulously displaying. It's slightly high-waisted so is ideal for giving you hips and it has a beautiful jacquard texture to make it extra fancy! We thought that this would be nice paired with a plain white bardot style crop top (2), pretty much identical to the one that Kate is wearing, just because yellow on yellow may be a bit bright for every day. Personally, we think it might be nice to kind of separate off the colours a little bit and add more hips by adding a plain black leather belt (5) or a leather jacket (3) just to make this cute, girly look a bit more Rock'n'Roll if that's what you're in to, but it's not necessary, just a matter of preference. Finally, can we just talk about these shoes though?! *swoon* These nude court shoes (4) might actually be the ones that Kate is wearing! The pointed toe is so elegant looking and the casual colour would go with pretty much any outfit. Just finish up with a Red lip (6) and you're good to go!

The next look is this stunning 70s vibe from Rita Ora.
Rita is such a fashion icon right now and she always knows how to style an outfit to perfection, even her hair goes with her outfit here!
Okay so the main theme for this is 1970's style. We love the colour of this fur gilet (1) not to mention it will keep you nice and warm during this horrendous winter months (well your mid section at least). Rita has paired hers perfectly with a black turtle neck so we have decided to follow suit and add in this one from Topshop (2). Now we're not really ones to wear flared jeans, like ever, but Rita is WERKING them here so if you're feeling brave these ones from ASOS (4) would go perfectly to give you that true 70's flare (ha ha). Accessories wise, layered necklaces are gorgeous over turtle necks (3) and these big round sunnies are like soooo far out (appaz that's what they used to say in the 70's?) But seriously, this look just goes together so perfectly! Just add some thick spider-leg lashes and a nude lip and you're ready for the FROW.

The final look comes from Carrie Bradshaw Jr. AnnaSophia Robb! Her pretty, preppy attire somehow manages to look high fashion and casual all at the same time.
This shirt/blazer combo is perfect for the smart-dressed up, Cambridge university kind of Jack Wills-y look, and  the slightly ripped jeans make the outfit look dressed down as well as dressed up. But what is really interesting is the way that AnnaSophia is wearing a coat over a blazer and it looks nice?! Carrie Bradshaw would be proud! Although it might get a bit hot with two jackets on, we do love this one from New Look. This outfit would be perfectly finished with a pair of slightly pointed, black court shoes, a school satchel-style box bag and a watch just to give it that "haay I'm on the Oxford rowing team and I'm super fashionable" look!

We hope you liked this post and are enjoying fashion week as much as us!

We would love to hear what you think about these looks. What's your favourite? Have you seen any other celebrity looks that are to die for this week?

PrintKlub is a French company that focuses on photo printing. We first stumbled across this company through Facebook. Now, normally we curse all adverts that pop up on Facebook, but when we saw this one we knew we just had to try it!

They have a range of different products from Polaroids to posters, magnets to photo books... they literally cater to every photo lovers need. Their prices are extremely good, but don't forget to take into account shipping... they are based in France. Each product varies in shipping price and you will be charged shipping for each product, even if you buy in bulk (keep reading for a £4 discount code!). But don't let that put you off, these Polaroids really are the cutest thing and will make the most adorable and precious additions to our houses at home and our uni house next year!

The great thing about this website is that it links up with your Facebook, Instagram and Google + so you won't have to upload every single photo! But don't worry, if there are certain pictures that you want but aren't on your social media you can also upload them as well. Before you send off for your photos you have the ability to change them all around and position them how you want in order to ensure that you'll be fully happy with your products. We love how they give you the opportunity to personalise the Polaroids as well, you'll be able to personalise each photo or strip with some text at the bottom, but if not no worries! This website really allows everyone to cater to their own needs and preferences. They also have an app that's available for Android's and iPhone's so you can get creative on the go!... Just type in 'Polabox' to your app store to find it :)

Here are some of the products we've ordered from PrintKlub... The first two are both from the Polabox collection and the last is the Polabox ID.

'Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.' - Aaron Siskind

We were not asked to promote these products or the company itself, we just genuinely want to get the word out there because it's such a great concept and we both love the products we have received.

For £4 off at the checkout you can use either two of the following codes:

Happy shopping & we hope you all have a great weekend :)

Battle of the Geordies: Vicky Vs Charlotte!

Battle of the Geordies: Vicky Vs Charlotte!
Tuesday, 10 February 2015
Read post
Ok so we both got on the hype of the Geordie shore lasses workout videos... it was inevitable really. With no money to buy a gym membership and not wanting to run anywhere we might actually be recognised we thought this was the perfect solution! After trying out both Vicky and Charlotte's DVDs we thought we'd report back to you guys...

When we first saw Vicky's transformation we literally couldn't believe our eyes! Gurrrrrrrl she is looking fine! After a quick strop at how unfair life is we thought we'd give it a whirl. After trying it for a week we were surprised at the results, not only were we noticing a difference but we we actually found ourselves enjoying the workouts. The workouts are only 10 minutes long which is great for those ladies out there who have a busy schedule, each workout progresses a bit in difficulty with a total of 6 different levels. Or course it just wouldn't be the same without Vicky and her cheeky one liners!

Charlotte's transformation is also very impressive, again a strop was had at how everyone is losing weight and it's unfair because they can afford personal trainers and vegetables & we cant, but we soon got over it. After seeing some tweets saying how this DVD helped them lose 5-7 pounds in the first week we couldn't not try it! However, we were a tad disappointed with the content and the workouts involved! Now, it could be because we had high expectations after Vicky's cracking attempt... but either way we can't say that it's our favourite. Firstly, the workouts are only 3 minutes.. yes this suckered us in too.. but after trying it they just aren't long enough, you just start to get going and it's over. Unlike Vicky's, Charlotte makes a comment during the DVD about how she got the body she now has by doing all 12 workouts together and the extra ab workout at the end... so it's not really a 3 minute belly blitz as the front cover would suggest, instead it's a 34 minute belly blitz. When comparing this to Vicky's, her DVD suggests that one 10 minute workout a day is plenty enough and I'd agree because compared with Charlotte's we found that Vicky's DVD got our heart rates up and kept them going for longer.

Another thing worth comparing is the warm up and cool down on both these DVDs. We found that with Charlotte's it just didn't do the job, it's more like a mini workout & there was no real stretching involved which is probably why we felt so stiff afterwards. However, Vicky's on the other hand is perfect! It's quick yet stretches out all the right body parts that need extra attention, just like the cool down! :)

So basically, if we had to recommend one we'd deffo push Vicky's... it's got a great variety of workouts, it's quick and easy if that's what you need or it allows for a harder workout also!

We'd love to hear your opinions on this whether you've tried either one of these... or both! :D

Does drinking 2 liters of water a day really make a difference?

Does drinking 2 liters of water a day really make a difference?
Sunday, 8 February 2015
Read post
Let's be honest, we've all heard this many times, drinking 8 glasses of water a day will give you many benefits such as helping with weight loss, keeping skin clear, boosting energy, improving concentration, reducing fine lines and wrinkles & so much more!! So, I thought I'd put it to the test.

Starting from the 9th of January I began drinking 2 liters of water everyday for 4 weeks. At the end of each week I wrote down any changes I noticed, even if they were very little.

Week 1
The first thing I have to say is that I cannot stop weeing. I'll literally go to the loo and 5 minutes later need to go again... It's very inconvenient, especially when we're in the middle of watching RuPaul! But anyways, lets get down to business... It's only been a week but so far I have noticed a few small differences. I definitely feel much much more awake. Normally I get tired at around 4-5, at which time Kayleigh and I usually take a little hour nap.. but this week I have not taken one nap! I feel like I have a lot more energy which is  great feeling, especially on the first week back at uni. I haven't really noticed any differences in relation to my skin, I'm still getting a few blemishes here and there.. but I will keep this up and report back next week! Here's hoping my skin will be luminous by the end of these 4 weeks.. people better be referring to me as a Greek goddess, that's all I'm saying!

Week 2
Ok, so it's week 2 and I must say that carrying round a 2 liter bottle of water with me is getting rather annoying! So far, I'm still feeling better energy wise, which is great! However, as for the other benefits it's talking about I just can't be sure. My skin seems to have taken a turn for the worse this week and so I'm guessing the water isn't helping me in this department, my waistline is the same, but that could be all the excess pizza I've been eating! D: I have to say though, I find myself craving water when I normally wouldn't which is actually quite nice. Another thing that I must mention is how much I feel better in myself as I haven't been drinking any processed drinks... I never usually used too, but now even when I'm presented with one, I would rather refuse it and drink water! Can't wait to see if there will be any other changes by next week! :)

Week 3
So here I am, sitting at my laptop with my 2 liter bottle perched next to me, trying to think what to write. My skin has cleared up, but I must say, with all this water going through me I was hoping that my skin would become much more hydrated and a lot less dry. I haven't seen as many changes as I would have liked to at this point, but there's still a week to go so maybe next week there will be a sudden change and I'll come out of this looking like Angelina Jolie!

Week 4
I feel kinda sad that this has come to an end! :(
Now, I know I gave you some benefits at the start of this, but I've decided that I'm not going to say what has and hasn't worked, instead I'm just going to tell you guys the difference I'm feeling within myself. My skin has definitely been a lot better since drinking this much water which I'm very thankful... I have a lot more energy all the time which is the first thing that I noticed, even after week 1, this is mainly the reason I want to keep going with this, I love feeling awake and energised throughout the day!
Another thing I've noticed is how much I miss drinking water when I don't have it near me... I just went home for the weekend and forgot to take my bottle with me and I can't tell you how lost I was without it... I felt so thirsty and couldn't stop craving water! The one downside to this experience is the amount of times I have to go for a wee! I mean, other than the fact that it interrupts most of my daily tasks, it kinda feels good.. like I'm flushing out the toxins in my body :) I'm deffo not going to be giving up my 2 liters a day anytime soon, I'm starting to get a bit more creative with it though, throwing in some cucumber, lemons and limes... this adds a bit of excitement to an otherwise boring day at uni! SO... if you're feeling a bit tired these days and want to try something new I would deffo recommend giving this a try, what have you got to lose?! :D

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any other suggestions we'd love to hear them! :)

Valentines outfit ideas :)

Valentines outfit ideas :)
Wednesday, 4 February 2015
Read post

Hiiieeee, With Valentines day fast approaching we thought it'd be a good idea to brainstorm some outfit ideas! Now we're no expert when it comes to the old wining and dining, the closest thing we get is a slightly faster reply but we know there's many love birds out there who would just love a day to spend with their lover! We've put together some different looks depending on what you'll be doing that day, we hope you enjoy :)

Don't be coy, we both know what you'll be seeing ;)

Ok, so you might not think that these thigh high boots are suitable for a cinema date, but I couldn't let these boots go to waste! If I could strut round in heels like SJP then I would wear these beauties everywhere. However, if you're not feeling up to skyscraper heels then a nice pair of nude brogues would go just fine :)

With this look, it's more about the make-up than anything, because if you can't accentuate those eyes on Valentines day, when can you?! We love a kind of monochrome, black and white smoky eye with a dramatic flick. This palette by NARS would be ideal paired with a gorgeous pair of MAC lashes. For the clothes, it's probably better not to go over the top on colour if you're having dramatic eyes, so we'd suggest a black or gold to accentuate the eye make-up and red lip!

Walk in the park

Baby pink is an ideal colour for dressing up in the day time, because it's cute rather than fancy. Either of these two skirts paired with an every day black and white striped T-shirt make for a gorgeous, half-casual outfit. This would particularly look nice with some natural looking make up. We've suggested the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, Nars COPACABANA Highlight and Tanya Burr 'Date Night' Lashes.

Night In

Now I know normally it wouldn't matter what you wear on a cosy night in, but if you are deciding to stay in on valentines day why not step out of the trackies and into something a little bit more fashionable... It couldn't hurt right? I'm not suggesting ditching the slippers for stilettos, in fact I'm all for slippers! Whether you're with your friends or your boyfriend it's always nice to make a bit of effort! :)

Cocktails with the girls!
(because who needs a man)

I wanted to keep this look very elegant and so I went with a simple white and red look. This dress is definitely for the more daring, the plunging neckline isn't for the fainthearted but if worn with confidence this outfit will deffo steal a few glances when you're out with the girls!

Shopping & lunch

This is tricky because you don't want to dress up too much for lunch, so I thought who does casual chic better than anyone else?! Fearne Cotton, that's who!

Ripped jeans, a band t-shirt and a leather jacket are perfect for that dressed down, Rock star look - just add some tortoise shell sunglasses for a real "I'm hungover and don't want to talk to anyone except my boyfriend and I'm only talking to him because it's valentines day" look!

And if you're not doing anything on the ever looming 14th then don't worry, crack open a bottle of wine and whack on a Katherine Heigl chick flick, there's nothing wrong with a bit of alcohol and self pity! :'D

We'd love to hear about your Valentines plans, so feel free to drop us a comment letting us know what you'll be up to and more importantly, what you'll be wearing!

January Favourites!

January Favourites!
Monday, 2 February 2015
Read post
Can you believe January is over already? Christmas only feels like yesterday! It's that time of the month again.. no, not that one!... where it's time to pull out and share all our favourite products! We hope you enjoy and can't wait to read everyone else's! :)

Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, Clarins.
Having seen 'The Ugly Face of Beauty' (youtube channel) talk about this in her favourites last year I really wanted to try this... I'm very lazy when it comes to taking my makeup off, I don't like too many products.. I'm not the kind of girl who has a tonner, a cleanser, a day and night moisturiser, a separate eye moisturiser etc... so when I heard about this I thought it would be perfect for me! I love the consistency of this gel and it makes my skin feel so amazingly soft after use. I take my eye makeup off before using this as I find it doesn't do such a great job on mascara, but it works wonders for everything else.

Double Wear Foundation, Estee Lauder.
When I was getting colour matched for this foundation the lady told me that once I start using this foundation I will never want to change, and I can quite honestly say that this is true. Before buying this foundation I was using MAC's match master... and I must say that after having tried the double wear I will never be going back! This foundation always makes my skin look so flawless and as for the stay power.. it's excellent! Another thing that I was pleased about was the actual colour match itself, I have been matched to two different MAC foundations and both times these have been too dark. However, this is the first time I have tried an Estee Lauder product and they got it right instantly! The one downside to it is the fact that there is no pump and so I have to use a makeup brush to get the foundation out and onto the back of my hand. However, after having used this for just over a month it doesn't really bother me anymore, the foundation itself makes up for the lack of pump! I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking to try something new :)

Stroke of Light Eye Brightener, BareMinerals.
I had some problems getting hold of this product... After having tried my mums one I instantly fell in love and decided that I needed it in my life. So off I went, bought it, got all excited to use it and much to my disappointment I pulled it out the bag and they had given me the complete opposite colour of what I has asked for. So a few days later I went back to change it only to find that they were out of stock! I was so close to giving up and falling to my knees in despair.. then I realised that I was being a big baby and decided to take the more mature route! Anyways, I ordered it offline and when it eventually came I completely forgot about all the problems I had. As you know I love to highlight and this has fast become one of my favourite eye brighteners. The wand is perfect for application and a little definitely foes a long way :) I find it's a lot easier to build this, as with most under eye brighteners applying a lot first hand can make the skin and make up look cakey.

Healthy Mix Foundation, Bourjois.
This foundation was one of the ones that, I found, was mentioned most frequently in loads of 2014 favourites videos on YouTube - so I decided to try it and, lone behold, I fell in love with it like so many have before me.
It feels so nice on the skin because it just literally feels 'healthy'. It's got Apricot, Melon and Apple in it which gives the skin a natural radiance while also hydrating the skin. I find that it makes my skin look nice and dewy which gives off an all round natural/healthy look. Not to mention it smells amaaaazing!

Sleek Make Up Luminaire Highlighting Concealer.
Now this favourite is a good example of how some products work for some people and not for others because I actually got this from Abby as she didn't get on with  it at all. It is quite thick for a concealer, which a lot of people don't like, but I find that it is ideal for highlighting on the forehead and chin. Abby found that it was really cakey on her skin but it wasn't so bad on mine. I wouldn't use it all the time because it is so thick it's probably not great for the skin, but for nights out and things like that, I find that it's a good highlight.

Ultimate Eye shadow Collection, Makeup Revolution.
If I was only allowed one eye shadow palette for the rest of my life, this would definitely be it. The shades are so pigmented and for the price of just £10 there's so many colours in different shades and tones. I use this palette everyday and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. The only downside to it is the size, it's not very travel friendly! If I go home for the weekend I find myself having to put this in its own bag, but for the sheer amount of colours and the opportunity of so many different looks it's totally worth carrying an extra bag around!

The Falsies Volume Express, Maybelline.
I didn't go out with the intention  to buy this but when I was in superdrug it was 2 for £10 across maybelline products and so I whacked this in my basket and I am so glad! This mascara is so amazing at adding length and curve to my otherwise flat and non-existent eyelashes. The only problem I have is that I got the waterproof one as there weren't any others, and sometimes when I'm applying it I get it on my eyelids.. which would normally be fine, but with this formula it won't come off with a bit of water on cotton wool bud, so I have to go heavy duty with the eye makeup remover which then removes my eyeshadow! It's a horrific cycle!! But with time I'm getting better with my technique and I will deffo be re-purchasing this :)

Smoulder Kohl, Soap & Glory.
I have the worst trouble with kohl eye liner, they either come off straight away or leave smudges under my eyes. However, this eye liner has quite literally changed my life... It just doesn't budge. This could be due to the waterproof formula, but whatever it is I just love it and can't get enough!

Mac Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Brun.
I was actually introduced to this by Abby because she has used it to do her eyebrows for a while, whilst I was still using an eyebrow pencil but was looking for something a bit more natural-looking. It is absolutely ideal for eyebrows because it makes them so much more natural looking than a pencil and it is the perfect colour for my eyebrows (I have really dark brown, almost black eyebrows). It's so easy to apply as well, just using an angled eyeshadow brush (I use this Duo Eyeshadow Brush by Revlon). It's also so much easier to build an arch by doing your eyebrows this way so I would definitely recommend it!

Exaggerate Lip Liner, Rimmel London.
This is my everyday go to lip liner. It doesn't dry my lips out and is perfect to wear alone or pair with any pink or nude toned lipstick! This will always be one of my favourite lip products.

Snob, Mac.
I absolutely love this colour, its so so beautiful. I wear this almost daily and it gives enough colour to add a little extra to your makeup without going for some neon crazy shit! :D I pair this with the lip liner also shown in the picture and I find it gives a really pretty and girly touch. If you don't like lipstick that is too bold then I would recommend this in a heartbeat.

Innocent, Lips Topshop.
This is the perfect dupe for Mac's snob! There is a slight difference in tone and texture, but other than that this lipstick a few quid cheaper, has cute packaging and is pretty much identical! All I know is, i'd much rather take this one on a night out than my good old Mac in fear of misplacing it! :)

Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick, Soap & Glory (In the colour Nudist).
I absolutely love this gloss! I find that when using a gloss with a wand it's easy to put too much on so your lips end up looking like they're just wet rather than glossy, but because this is a stick it's so much easier to apply. It gives a nice moisturised look to your lips and also makes them feel much more hydrated than a lot of glosses or lipsticks. Also this colour is literally the perfect nude because it barely looks like you're even wearing any colour.

Fifth Avenue, China Glaze.
I first saw this nail polish when I was watching one of Nicole Guerriero's videos and I couldn't take my eyes off her nails! I don't know why I'm having such a love affair with pink tones at the moment, but this nail polish is just the most perfect colour. I haven't been able to find any other polish like it, it's such a beautiful darkish pink.... One word that comes to mind when I look at it is classy. I have literally been wearing this for 3 weeks straight which I never do! Normally I love to switch up my nails, but I think this is it for me... it's the one.

Babyliss Curling Wand Pro.
This utensil is perfect for people who don't really want to take ages on their hair but want it to look nice (AKA, me). It is so so easy to use because you literally just wrap your hair around it and voilà, no need for any messing around!
It's also super easy to change the size of the curls you want just by sectioning your hair in to smaller or larger sections. I love using this to make small curls and then brushing them out to make a volumised crimp effect.
At only £25 it's definitely a good investment!

Sex and the City, TV series.
Over the past 4 months we have watched all 6 series of Sex and the City and it became clear to us that we had quite the obsession. These girls fast became our best friends! Over Christmas we tweeted about our withdrawal symptoms and it was the first thing we watched when we were both re-united.
This is definitely a show that all girly girls should watch! It's filled with laughs, loves and life advice and acts as the perfect pick me up after a lonnng day!

RuPaul's Drag Race.
We have literally watched 3 seasons of this in the past 3 weeks. It's so very addictive (so definitely don't start watching it when you've got shit to do). It is literally the fiercest TV show evaaah! The queens are so hilare and their wit is so on point. But on a serious note, it's actually nice to learn a bit more about different people because not many of us know very much about the drag community, and it's actually quite heart-warming to see the respect that these queens have for each other and their art (when they're not being bitchy mamas obvs).

Our Tattoos!

This month we both treated ourselves to a new tattoo! We both decided to get song lyrics, with Abby getting lyrics from a song she and her Mumma both love, and Kayleigh getting lyrics from a song that she and her Dad both love. They're both really meaningful and we are absolutely over the moon with them.

January disappointments

Naked 3 Palette, Urban Decay.
I cannot believe I am putting this as a disappointment. After having had the naked 1 palette for over a year I thought it was time I spread my wings and try something else... but much to my disappointment the naked 3 palette did not exceed my expectations. I love the matte shades, they're the perfect pink/perfect shades that I absolutely love at the moment. However, I found that the shimmery are not very pigmented and I find them to be quite powdery. Not only can I not use a brush to apply them because the colour pay off is so poor, but even when I use my finger to apply it it still doesn't work as well as it should! It's so frustrating because I love the naked 1 palette so so much. But I suppose the only good thing here is the double ended brush that came with it! I'm not saying that this palette is rubbish, because I do use some of the colours (for all I know it could just be my eyelids that are the problem!), but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends. Naked 1 remains and will probably always be my favourite!

We'd love to hear if you guys have tried any of these and what you think! :D
Also feel free to comment any posts you would like to see, i.e. make up tutorials, hair tutorials, whatever you want!

We wish you all a very happy February! :)
