Just a few pictures and quotes to keep you going through the week, because everyone needs a little pick me up every now and then ♥

We know that Mondays can be a bit of a drag, getting used to a routine after a relaxing weekend, early morning, not to mention Friday seems like an eternity away! So we've decided to share a few of our favourite motivational quotes to hopefully pick you up and get you ready for the week ahead!

"I know you cannot live on hope alone, but without it, life is not worth living. So you, you gotta give them hope." - Harvey Milk

"You can have anything you want if you are willing to give up the belief that you can't have it."

This is one of the most important things to remember throughout life. Of course it's nice to have things to look forward to and things to work towards, but if you spend too long thinking about the future, you'll ruin the time you have now. Life is so short and fragile, we have to make every single minute count. Do things that you want to do, Don't dwell on the negatives, thrive on the positives.

"Stop saying you're not scared. We're all scared. I'm scared and you're scared, but that's the point! The point is to be scared but do it any way. Live any way!"
We hope this made you feel a little bit better and gave you something to think about. Feel free to let us know some of your favourite quotes in the comments!

K's Favorite:

Simple Age Resisting Day/Night Cream.
I bought these two a while back when I wanted to start a proper skin care routine and there just happened to be a 3 for 2 deal on in Boots. Since buying them though, I find that my skin really does feel more hydrated and soft. I like the fact that there is one for day and one for night because it means that they last longer than if you were using the same bottle for both morning and evening. Also it feels light on the skin and the price isn't all that bad either!

A's Favourite:
L'Oreal Paris, Age Perfect.
My mum has always told me it is never to early to start looking after your skin, because I will age and I will look 40 by the time I'm 20. And so I bought this in the hope to prevent such a horror! I have oily & dry skin which can be a real pain to cater for, however, this moisturiser is really great. It adds moisture where is needed and doesn't leave my skin feeling oily and heavy after application.

A Facial Cleanser:
Our Favourite:

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

This is the second micellar water I have tried and I love everything about it. It removes every ounce of make up from the skin with just one cotton wool pad, and leave the skin feel squeeky clean. I find that after application my skin feels quite dried out and so I like to apply my moisturiser 5 minutes after use, just to let the skin breathe for a bit. One thing I love about it is that it removes Benefits 'They're real!' mascara which can be quite a tough job with a make up wipe :)

K's Favorite:

DKNY Be Delicious perfume
I wanted this a while ago purely because of the connotations to New York. However, it smells absolutely delicious! It's kind of like a light,  fruity scent that reminds me of summer days. It's not too strong of a scent so it's perfect for every day wear, probably more so than if you were going out for the night.

A's Favourite:

Dolce & Gabbana, 3 L'Imperatirce.

I love this perfume so much! It's the one perfume I have that never fails to attract compliments and the scent stays with me all day. It's base is made up of sandalwood, mush and grapefruit and also contains notes of watermelon, kiwi and redcurrant. It is the perfect perfume all year round.

A Strong Brow
K's Favorite:

Rimmel Brow This Way Pencil, Rimmel Eyebrow Gel
I don't like going too crazy and taking risks with my eyebrows because it's so awful when eyebrows go wrong, so these are just two simple, cheap products that I use every single day to just improve the colour and general appearance of my brows. I don't really like the 'drawn on' look, so I just use the Rimmel Brow This Way pencil to shade in my eyebrows to make them look fuller and darker, then I just gently sweep over the clear gel to keep them in place for the day.

A's Favourite:

MAC Cosmetics, Eyeshadow - Brun & Brow Set - Rich Brown.

These are my go-to eyebrow products. I like to use Burn to fill in any gaps that i have, or add a bit more shape to my eyebrows. I only usually use this if i'm going out out, or if i'm making a particularly good effort one day. Everyday wise I usually just whack on some brow set as i'm lucky enough to have quite thick brows, so this is perfect for just holding them in place.

The perfect red lipstick
K's Favorite:

Rimmel London, #1.
Red is probably the colour lipstick I wear most often. I just think that a red lip can pretty much act as an accessory to dress up an outfit. I've reviewed this shade previously on our 'Favourite Lip Products' post, so I shall just say that if you're not looking to spend that much money but you want to start experimenting with Red shades on your lips, this is 100% the one to go for.

A's Favourite:
Sorry kids, I don't wear red!

A good make-up brush
Our favourite:

Real Techniques, Expert face brush.

We both use this brush to blend out our foundation, and my word it does a incredible job. It blends foundation into the skin extremely well leaving a flawless finish. It's also good for building up and blending in any concealer that is applied over foundation.

Comfy undies

Every girl needs comfy pants for those days when you just don't care. No second thoughts needed on VPL and no worrying about whether or not they are worth the wear. Comfy undies will always be worth it. So whack out those Mr.Men pants, put on those faded & worn knickers and wear them with dignity! :D

Thanks for reading, we could love to hear your favourites! :D

Here are a few of our favourite lip products...

No 7 High Shine Lip Crayons, (colours from top to bottom) 'Daydreamer', 'Tropical Beach', 'Statement' and 'Tickle'.

Before I say anything else, these swatches do not do these lip crayons justice! The reason they have come out so.. dull?... is because they're sheer and our amateur lighting just can't cope with them, but on the lips the pigment is prefect for those who don't want something too bold. These lip crayons are extremely moisturising, build-able and effortlessly glide onto the lips.
'Daydreamer' is a beautiful nude colour which is perfect for those days when you don't really have much time to get ready, literally just whack it on and you're ready to go! 'Tropical Beach' is my favourite out of all of these. It's a rich pink colour, I wore this to uni today and after 4 hours it was still going strong! the staying power of these are great! 'Statement' is a subtle red colour, I'm not usually one for wearing red lipstick as I'm not quite brave enough, but this is the perfect pigment and texture for me. 'Tickle' is a coral colour with orange undertones and is perfect for summer. Having said that it does add a pop of colour to an otherwise all black outfit in the winter months. Deffo head into your local boots and give these beauties a go :D

MAC Cosmetics, (colours from left to right) 'Ample Pink' Plushglass lipgloss, 'Faux' lipstick & 'Myth' lipstick.

'Ample Pink' is such a stunning and pigmented pink & the shine of this lipgloss is unreal (it's almost like a disco on my lips!). I love to wear this gloss with 'Faux', they are the perfect combo.
I'v already reviewed 'Faux' so head over to out 'Everyday make-up favourites' to have a read, it's a beautiful lipstick and I would 100% recommend it! 'Myth' is just the greatest creation ever. It can be put over a dark lipstick to make it lighter, or it can be worn on it's own. I love pairing it with a dark lip liner so it has an almost 90's feel to it. `

Rimmel London Kate Moss collection: #01 (left) and #107 (right).

This Lipstick brand has to be my absolute favourite. I love every single colour in the Kate Moss collection!
The red (#01) pictured to the left is the most beautiful red colour when it's on. It's not so matte that it makes your lips look cracked and it gives off a beautiful shine making your lips look perfectly pouty. It's a perfect colour for a night out, paired with an LBD, but because it's not too severe it's also perfectly wearable every day.
#107 is my all time favourite lipstick. It's the first one I ever bought from this collection and since then has been my automatic go-to. I've worn this on nights out, at uni, at work, it's perfect for any occasion! The colour is such a beautiful deep red with purple undertones (like a rich red wine!) making it beautiful for this time of year.

NYC Expert Last: #440 Creamy Caramel (top)
MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer: Tranquility

I bought these two products when I was desperate to have Kylie Jenner-esque lips. They're both a beautiful nudey colour and look wonderful against any skin tone (trust me I'm like the palest of the pale - Abby's words).
The NYC expert last is very moisturising on the lips and gives off a nice sheen, however it's not very dramatic looking so it's probably more suited for every day rather than nights out.
The MUA Lip Lacquer, however, is much richer in colour and texture and it comes out much thicker. I would probably say that this one lasts much longer on the lips as well, purely because of how thick it is.

Either way, I would definitely recommend these products if you're looking for a subtle nude coloured lip.

Lush Lip Scrub in the flavour Bubblegum.

Although this isn't a lipstick or a lipgloss it is just as significant as the other products mentioned! I use this every single day whether I plan on wearing lipstick or not. It's aim is to scrub all the dry skin from your lips leaving them soft and shiny. By getting rid of the old, dry skin it encourages new cell growth (similar to how a skin exfoliator works) making your lips appear more pouty and fresh.

I find that after using this product, it makes my lipstick go on much smoother especially when I'm wearing a matte lipstick, my lips just look much more hydrated. Not too mention it tastes delicious!

We hope you like our favourite lip products. Feel free to comment, we'd love to hear what your favourites are!

Here are a few pictures we have taken over the last 24 hours!

Last night we spent 4 and 1/2 long, boring, tiring, stressful but productive hours in the library. We went armed with snacks and juice to keep up going til we finally left at 11:30 pm, it was some hardcore studying! Whilst we were there we had an email telling us that we had reached 50 followers on bloglovin' and so we just want to say a massive thank you to anyone who has followed us! :D

Today we walked into town for a bit of retail therapy, not that we could afford to buy anything we saw :( First port of call was Superdrug where our plan was to raid Revolution's make up display, however, after picking up loads of items and carrying them around we realised that we shouldn't really be spending money on make-up, especially if we wanted to eat this week, and so put them all back. It was a tough decision and cut us both very deep. We also discovered the most adorable 'dry body buff', by the make Cheeky, that smelt so amazing our friend literally had to rip it out of our hands and pull us away. Next we stopped off a lush because one doesn't simply just walk past. They has so many cute and sparkly Christmas bath bombs out on display, there were penguins, angels, snowmen and holly, it was a winter wonderland! Last stop was the 99p shop, yes you read that correct, it's a students best friend! We stocked up on essential supplies and headed home across the park.

So now we're getting into our comfies and of course the only good way to end such a good day is by whacking on some Sex and the City with a packet of strawbs, a cup of tea and the duvet wrapped round us!

Thanks for reading! :D

What's in our bags!

What's in our bags!

Read post

So these are the only things that I ALWAYS keep in my every day handbag (from New Look).
The first and possibly most important thing is my purse (from River Island). This never EVER leaves my bag because what if I see a new lipstick or a pair of shoes that I need to buy?!
The second thing is a notebook and a pen for jotting down shopping lists or blog post ideas that we might have. This is so, so helpful because I literally have the memory of a goldfish so if I'm thinking about something and get distracted I will forget it like 2 minutes later.
The next things are some deodorant (Dove in a Grapefruit scent) and perfume (DKNY Be Delicious) for freshening up every now and then. These are essential to always keep in my bag because we often get the bus to & from University and its always so busy and hot, so a bit of deodorant never goes a miss after horrible, sweaty bus rides.
Obviously another item that I need in my bag is a pair of headphones for my iPhone. I'm the type of person that gets distracted VERY easily so I find that listening to music while doing an assignment or catching up on work really helps to keep me motivated and focused, right now I'm loving listening to Catfish and the Bottlemen ☺.
Finally, I always carry around whichever lipstick/gloss I'm wearing that day (the one in the picture is Rimmel London in the shade 03 from the Kate Moss Collection), just in case it comes off when I'm drinking a coffee or eating a salad (I don't usually eat/drink either of those things but I thought it was a bloggery thing to say- it's more likely to be a bottle of irn-bru and a cake).

Firstly, my bag is just the bestest and biggest thing in the whole world, it's literally a Mary Poppins bag, although it's from H&M which I'm sure hers wasn't!
The one thing that I never ever leave the house without is my phone, a Samsung S5, but I'm sure thats the same for everyone these days. At the moment I'm loving my phone case from Zazzle. I created it myself and chose a summery plam tree picture because I need something to remind me of what comes after these cold, dark winter days!
I never, and probably never will, carry an expensive perfume with me in my handbag, call me cautious if you will, but I prefer to have something cheap that I can spray sparingly everywhere :D My favourite high street scent at the moment is 'House' from River Island and was only £12, I would happily have paid more than double for this as the smell is incredible and the packaging is so sleek. I also like to carry a small 100ml Beneifit perfume ('Laugh with me Lee Lee') around with me in case I feel like a change.
I always carry my Ted Baker make up bag around with a few girly essentials as well as The Body Shop hand & nail cream in 'Almond' and lip butter in 'Pink Grapefruit'. Both of these products smell amazing and work wonders! Another Ted Baker item that I always have with me is my yellow purse, I know these are quite popular, but I must say this colour just brightens my day :)
Lastly my sunglasses. You never know when you're going need to whack on some sunnies so I like to carry these Topshop round lensed glasses with me everywhere, they're so flattering to my face shape (which unfortunately is rather masculine), and I just love them so much!

Thank you for reading! Feel free to let us know what you keep in your bag! :)

Here are a few of our Autumn/Winter playlist suggestions seeing as how there's nothing better than sitting in with a cup of tea, all snuggly, and listening to music at this time of year!

1) Hozier
I actually first heard of Hozier through BBC Radio 1 live lounge when Ed Sheeran covered his debut single 'Take Me to Church'. After which, I decided to listen to his album and it is amaaaazing!
Heavily influenced by female singers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone, it's clear to hear the bluesy undertones in his voice.
I would definitely suggest giving him a listen if you're in to rugged, lusty voices and beautiful lyrics.

2) The Neighbourhood
I first started listening to the Neighbourhood around this time a couple of years ago but hadn't really listened to them that often this year until now. However, I just think that their sound is perfect for this time of year and they even have a song called 'Sweater Weather' (How perfect?!). This is definitely ideal for people who are interested in the indie-pop-rock genre of music with a slightly hip-hop background.

3) Ben Howard
Ben Howard first shot to fame after the release of his incredible debut album 'Every Kingdom' in 2011. Now, he has released his second album and it is just as beautiful as the one before but in a completely different way, Mainly known for his acousticy sound, Ben Howard offers a different side to his musical ability with this album, more made up of electric guitar sounds and ghostly harmonies.
The first single released from this album, entitled I Forget Where We Were, is an uplifting tune perfect for late night chilling with a cup of tea and a cosy blanket.

4) Prides
This Glaswegian 3 piece aren't much like what I usually chose to listen to as they're more of a 'synth-pop' band. If you don't really know what that means, or don't really listen to that type of music, don't let it put you off! Their songs are incredibly catchy, with lyrics that will make you want to tweet every 2 minutes. The powerful choruses are perfect for being played at festivals in front of thousands of people. So if you've got the festival blues, give these a listen and it will take you right back there!

5) Tom Odell // Real Love
You may have heard this song on the new John Lewis Christmas advert (the one with the adorable penguin!). This cover of a beautiful song written by John Lennon is so lovely for this time of year. It's soft and haunting, building in all the right places and reminding you that Christmas is a time of love.
But then Tom Odell could pretty much sing me the alphabet and I would say it's the best song ever.

We hope you enjoy this insight in to our go-to playlist at the moment, comment with your favourite songs we'd love to hear what you're listening to!

Just a few recommended reads for those rainy autumn days ☂

Beautiful Disaster - Jamie McGuire
This is my favourite book of all time. It's your typical 'Bad Boy' meets 'Shy Girl' book and it's just the bestest thing in the whole world. It's not your typical romance story, there are a few twists and turns along the way, expect to get frustrated, excited, angry.. the list goes on! You literally will not be able to put this book down. I've read this book about 5 times and would happily pick it tomorrow and read it again. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read and loved 'Undeniable' by Madeline Sheehan or any of the Reapers MC series by Joanna Wydle.
The sequel to this book is called 'Walking Disaster' and is written from Travis' perspective, it's exactly the same story but from the other viewpoint. I thought that it would be boring as I had already read 'Beautiful Disaster' so many times, but it was refreshing to understand the story from another perspective.

Bad Behaviour - Shelia O'Flanagan
Shelia O'Flanagan had fast become my favourite author. After reading his book I ordered another 5 of her books and have loved every single word. Most of them are based in Ireland (Her home) and include very strong female leads, a lot of romance, heartbreak and of course a happy ending :D
This book remains one of my favourites... you'll find yourself rooting for certain characters and hating others. I won't give much a way, but the main story line revolves around 2 best friends who fall out because one steals the others boyfriend. I know what you're thinking, it sounds like a typical chick lit story line, but give it a chance, it spans over many years and you really begin to relate with the charatcters. A must read!
If you've already read this or fancy trying some other books by Shelia O'Flanagan then I would reccomend 'Better Together', 'Dreaming of a Stranger' and 'My Favourite Goodbye'.

Sister - Rosamund Lupton
I don't usually read books in the 'Thriller' genre, but my mum kept telling me that I needed to move away from my usual chick lit and try new things and so I found this.
To cut a long, but very good, story short this book is about 2 sisters, one goes missing and the other sister works towards finding out what happens. It's tense, gripping and keeps you guessing the whole way through. If you're looking to try something different I would definitely give this book a go.

The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
This has got to be my favourite book that I've ever read! If any of you have ever seen the film and weren't too sure about it, I would 100% still suggest giving the book a read because it's so much better!
To be honest, it does take a lot of patience because there is a lot of jumping around and things aren't  really explained chronologically, but if you can get passed that it's an amazing book!
Based mainly in Chicago it follows the relationship between a woman named Kate and a man (that can time travel) named Henry from when Kate was a young child. Through accounts from both Kate and Henry we are able to understand both view points of the relationship and I think it allows for a deeper insight in to their life together.
This book really has got everything you'd ever want in a storyline: deaths, births, love, family relationships etc. I've read it probably around 7 times and it never gets old!

Not That Kind of Girl - Lena Dunham
This book is different to the rest that we have already mentioned as it's more of an autobiography.
Lena Dunham, is the writer/director/star of the HBO hit show 'Girls', but  much more than this (as is shown in this book) she's a strong woman that pioneers all things good like gay rights and feminism.
If you've not heard of her, don't let that put you off! Merely think of this book as a collection of hilarious, thought-provoking and touching memories from a young woman's life. It's filled with life advice that any woman can use as well as embarrassing stories that will make you feel that little bit better about yourself.

Are there any books that you guys have read and enjoyed? Please let us know! We love reading new books :D

Here's just a few of our every day make up favourites, hope you enjoy! ☺

Abby's Favourites ♥

MAC 'Soft and Gentle' Mineralise Skin Finish - £23 (left) & Revolution 'Peach Lights' Vivid Baked Highlighter - £3.

I cannot express enough my love for highlighters, they are just the one! My all time favourite highlighter is MAC's 'Soft and Gentle', it provides a beautiful, yet natural, shimmer to the cheekbones... Words really cannot describe how exquisite this product is. Although I don't use it everyday, I always use it when I feel like I need a pick me up, it makes me feel confident and I just love how it sculpts the face! Although it's quite pricey, it's worth every penny and will last a life time. A good dupe for this product, at more than half the price, is Revolutions 'Peach Lights'. Although this highlighter has a slightly more pink toned base, it does the job nicely. One thing I must say about both these products is that a little definitely goes a long way.

Benefit 'They're Real!' Mascara, Boots - £17.55

This mascara is incredible. I wear it everyday, even if I'm just popping to the shops, going shopping, going out for dinner, or going out out with the ladies... it's my life saver. Although one coat would easily do the job, I like to wear about 2-3 to achieve quite a clumpy, false looking effect which I know some people can't stand, but I just love it. This mascara adds both length and volume to eyelashes and I've often been asked what mascara I'm wearing and sometimes even if I'm wearing falsies! The only down side, I've heard people complain about, is about how difficult it is to remove this product from the eyelashes themselves, however, I find that any micellar water works a treat. The price is a bit off putting, but it last about 6 months, even when applying it sometimes twice a day. A must have for every lady out there ☺

Rimmel London 'Eastend Snob' Exaggerate Lip Liner, Boots - £3.99

The colour of this lip liner is so so quiche (If you don't know what that means, please refer to J'aime). It's the perfect colour for everyday use as it's a lovley subtle pink, not too dark and not too pale, it's just right. I like to apply a lip balm prior to using this product as I find it can be quite drying to the lips, also I find that after a few hours of uni the colour starts to wear off, but that's expected after a few hours of stressful pen chewing! Other than that, it really is a flawless product.  Definitely give it a go if you're loving Kylie Jenner's lip colour as much as we are. It's not quite a dupe but it's close enough.

MAC 'Faux' Lipstick - £15.50

This is my go to lipstick. I love wearing it with Rimmel's  'Eastend Snob' lip liner (above), it's the perfect combo. One thing I love about this product is the smell, it smells of chocolate and cake and biscuits and all things yummy.. It's hard not to take a bite when putting it on, not gunna lie!! :D This is a good liptsick for a natural look, but can also be dressed up with a heavy smoked out eye. This product can be used to create many versatile looks and I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Quality - 10/10
Price - 5.5/10
Durability - 7/10

L'Oreal 'Black Lacquer' Super Liner, Superdrug - £6.49.

I've had this product for approx. 5 months now, and with it's 6 month shelf life, I can honestly say that it will last longer than that... it hasn't dried up & still applies exactly the same as it did on the first day I used it. I like a heavy winged liner on a night out and this is the perfect eyeliner for it. I have tried quite a few different liners and this is by far one of the best I have used. It's allows for easy application, doesn't smudge and can be easily rubbed out with a cotton wool bud if mistakes are made during application.

Kayleigh's favourites -♥-

Rimmel lasting finish 25 hour foundation, superdrug - £7.99

I first heard about this product when I was watching one of Gabrilla Lindley's vlogs and saw that this foundation stayed on even when she had been on the treadmill! If that wasn't reason enough to try it, I don't know what is!
I've been using this for about a month now and I just love it. This is definitely my go-to foundation as it gives the perfect amount of coverage for my skin (medium-full) and also blends nicely with my skin colour. I find that when applied with the Real Techniques buffing brush (from their core collection) it gives an almost flawless finish.
The liquid comes out as a nice consistency, not too thick but also not too runny and when applied leaves the skin looking slightly dewy. If you like your skin looking slightly like a porcelain doll then there is no need to add powder, however you can always add it to set the foundation nicely.

Maybelline Big Eyes Liner, Boots - £4.99

Personally, I love the idea of having big eyes, so this product drew me in straight away!
There are 2 available colour options for this: Beige/Black and White/Black.
I would suggest using the beige one if you want your highlight to look much more subtle, however I chose the white because I think it makes much more of a dramatic effect.
I would say that I don't really use the black eyeliner end because I'm not that big of a fan of black kohl liners but
I would consider the white end to be the best inner eye highlighter that I have ever used. It has good wear and stays on for most of the day and it definitely does what it says on the tin and gives you big eyes!

Revolution Awesome Double Flick Thick and Thin Eyeliner, Revolution- £3.50

I wear liquid eyeliner pretty much every single day so I'm always looking for the perfect liner. When I saw this one the first thing that blew me away was the price, but as it was so cheap I decided not to get too excited until I was able to see the quality. HOWEVER, this has very fast become my favourite liquid liner! It is so, so easy to apply and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that's either thinking of using liquid eyeliner for the first time, or someone that just wants a quick applicator. The thin end is perfect for drawing close to the lash line on the eyelid and the thicker end allows for a perfect, dramatic wing. The only downside to this product is that you have to remember to be very careful when rubbing your eyes or itching your face because it is easily smudged.

Revlon Colorburst 'Sultry Sulfureuse #225' Matte Balm, Boots - £7.99

Firstly, the colour of this product is absolutely beautiful. It's a perfect plummy shade for Autumn/Winter and pretty much suits any skin colour.
Secondly, although it gives off a matte effect on the lips, it also feels hydrating due to the balm and therefore doesn't make your lips look dry and crinkly like most matte lipsticks do.
Finally, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and for once, the colour of the bottle matches the colour of the lipstick!

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara, Boots - £7.99

I read about this product in celebrity hair/make up artist Lou Teasedale's book The Craft where she said that it was one of the best mascaras for achieving 'Tarantula Leg' lashes (aka thick, volumous lashes). Well, all I can say is, she definitely knows what she's talking about! I started using this mascara in August and I have been using it ever since! After just one coat your eyelashes look instantly volumised, but I prefer adding 3 or 4 more coats just to add way more thickness to the lashes. Not only is this perfect for every day, it would also be ideal for creating a 60's feel by perhaps only applying to the bottom lashes.

Autumn/Winter has loads reasons for throwing a party (as if you need any!), trend alert this autumn/winter 2014 is sequins and glitter. We have dedicated a whole post on H&M's party wear, it's affordable and just down right sparkly.

The thought of sequins and glitter head to toe seems, quite honestly, scary. However, this Autumn/Winter H&M have bought out many essential pieces that can be used to make a very sophisticated, yet statement outfit. The good thing about sequins is that the accessories can be kept to a minimum. Perhaps a sequin dress, such as the one seen above (5), with a simple black clutch and black stilettos. Perhaps even a 2 piece, such as 2 & 3, with a simple winged liner and soft wavy hair. The clothing here really does all the work. It would be a shame to think that such beautiful pieces are only kept for 'best' and so I think we should embrace this trend and wear it whenever we want (mumma says, you should always dress like you're going to a movie premiere)! For a more causal look try a pair of leather trousers, a oversized top and a big pair of statement earrings, such as number 7.

I think it'll take a bravery to pull these pieces off, however, any one can do it, it's all about trial and error. Don't not buy an item because you 'have nothing to go with it'.. it's a staple piece this season and you WILL find something that will go with it! Buy It.

Just a few of our Autumn favourite nail polishes, we hope you enjoy

Barry M, 'Mustard' (left) & 'Chilli' (right), £3.99 - Boots.

These nail polishes are extremely good value for money. Usually when I apply nail polish it last about 2 days before chips begin to show, however, these nail polishes lasts about a week with it's 'hi-shine' promise kept throughout its whole wear. When I apply this nail polish it takes 1-2 coats for a solid colour and dries extremely quickly. No top coat is needed, however with 'Mustard' i would recommend using a base coat as I have found this colour to leave a slight stain on my nails without one. Would highly recommend these, the colours are beautiful!

Rimmel London, 'Velvet touch', £4.49 - Boots

There are pros and cons to this nail polish.
When first applied, it comes out quite thick so you'd only need one coat and the colour is perfect for Autumn/Winter. HOWEVER, I found that after only one day of wear, it not only began to chip all over the nail, it also lost it's matte finish.
Overall, although it is a nice colour, it's not really worth the money.

Revolution, 'Are you still available?' (left)  & 'Heaven's above' (right), £1 - Superdrug.

Firstly, I can't believe that these nail polishes are only £1! 'Are you still avaliable' is a beautiful, yet subtle, purple. I haven't seen this colour being produced by any other brand, it's so muted and sophisticated, I love it! 'Heaven's above' is 100% my new favourite Autumn colour, it's such a rich red/purple colour...the picture just doesn't do it justice! These nail polishes last about 3 days until chips begin to show, however, for the price it's definitely worth it.

Rimmel London, 'English Rose', £2.49 - Amazon.

First of all, the name of this nail polish is super cute just like the colour. When applied, it gives off a really high shine, classy look. The brush is an ideal shape for reaching all of the nail surface and allows for even application. On the bottle, this nail polish says that it can last up to 10 days but I think a more realistic duration would be 7/8 days.
The only downside is that, for some reason, it's not sold in any drug stores (that we've seen) and so it's a bit inconvenient having to order from online.
