2016 life goals

It's been a while since we've blogged (sorry) but with the welcoming of 2016, we're back and we've decided to share with you some of our goals for this year! Hopefully this will give you some inspiration for some resolutions of your own, or if you have any other ideas/goals let us know in the comments.

1) Organise our time more effectively
This is one thing we are both terrible at. We constantly leave our uni work until the last minute and panic about not getting it done in time. It also stresses us out and makes as feel as though there is not enough time in the week to get a blog post up! This year we've finally decided to manage our time effectively so that we get our work done early and leave ourselves enough time to put as much effort as we'd like in to our blog posts.

2) Start eating healthy
This is a typical one that almost every single person says every single year. We've said this pretty much every year for the past 10 years of our lives, but this time we mean it (fingers crossed). We've decided to start planning meals and sticking to them! It's so easy, when you're at uni, to just eat whatever you fancy eating, whenever you fancy eating it. That's why we need to put a specific plan in to place so that we have some form of structure to our eating habit!
We're also thinking of doing a 'What I ate Wednesday' type post on the blog every week so that we can share our meal plans with you (and at the same time ensure that we actually do stick to it), so let us know if that would be something that you're interested in.

3) Spend less time on social media
This is something that has had a lot of attention near the end of 2015 thanks to people like Essena O'Neill, and it made us realise that we actually do devote too much of our time and effort in social media. So this year, whether it be in the evening before bed or in the morning before the day really begins, we're going to stay off social media and just relax. Just take a breather and have some time without technology.

4) Be more creative

We are actually pretty creative people (thus us starting our own blog) but we don't really have that much time to be creative seeing as we're doing a Psychology degree and all. This year we're going to spend more time actually doing creative things that we enjoy. For Christmas I bought Abby a relaxation colouring book (and cheekily got myself one too while I was at it) so before Christmas we decided to sit down, put on a chill playlist and start colouring. Once we started having a go, we were at it for hours! Little things like this are what we want to do more of in 2016 because it's just nice to get those creative juices flowing every once in a while.

5) Start budgeting

This should be number 1 to be honest. We're in our third year of university and we still haven't learnt how to effectively manage our money (it is hard being a student). This year we're going to make a concerted effort not to spend money willy-nilly because we don't think our overdrafts can take it anymore!!
